Upon notification to the Oklahoma Insurance Department, GHS Property and Casualty Insurance Company will withdraw from the auto insurance market in Oklahoma. The withdrawal plan includes no longer selling new auto insurance policies and non-renewing existing policies beginning August 1, 2012.

This decision was primarily based on the staggering effect of multiple natural disasters that left GHS with irreconcilable underwriting losses. GHS is committed to providing its customers and agents with quality service until the completion of every policy, ensuring that auto customers have coverage until their renewal date. Non-renewal notices will be mailed to customers at least 60 days in advance of renewal dates in order to give customers and agents sufficient time to find another insurance carrier.
